Overview

This Practical training course was initially designed to support NHS link workers but is also ideal for any organisation wanting to better engage with local communities and understand the importance of planning and delivering effective community engagement.

 This training is *Free for those who work within the East Kent footprint, and it is designed to support:

  • NHS link workers
  • VCSE Organisations
  • Primary care staff 
  • Those in patient participation and engagement roles 
  • Local Authorities 

*Free training has been funded through the National Lottery Community Fund's Health Equalities programme, being delivered in East Kent by Social Enterprise Kent and the East Kent Health Care Partnership.

Course Syllabus:

  • Defining Engagement
  • How to identify communities
  • How to engage effectively
  • Feedback Gathering
  • Work to coproduce solutions
  • Addressing the needs and barriers

Delegates will also receive a workbook which can be used to plan community engagement in their day-to-day roles.
