Gangs, Radicalisation, Prevent Duty & Anti Bullying (Refresher)

Overview

This refresher course helps learners identify indicators of radicalisation, along with providing familiarisation of strategies designed to prevent radicalisation. In this course, you will learn how to support and work with young people involved in Radicalisation and Extremism as well as how to support and work with young people involved with gangs.

This session will a mix of Tutor input, Question and answer session, Group work and Case Studies

• Look at how we define gangs and whether our perceptions differ from those of young people involved in gangs
• Consider whether young people form gangs or join them?
• What do these groupings offer young people?
• Examine antisocial behaviour versus criminality
• Learn about aggression and violence in young people
• Get an overview of adolescence and brain development plan the way ahead.
