This accredited training course provides you with the understanding to create and manage a safe working environment. You will develop a broad knowledge of common workplace hazards and how to avoid them.
In 2019/2020 HSE statistics, 30% of work-related ill-health was attributed to musculoskeletal disorders and 51% suffered from stress, depression and anxiety.
It is a requirement that employers provide health and safety training to all their staff, as well as providing a safe environment for them to work in, risk assess all work activities, appropriate welfare facilities such as washrooms and updated policies and procedures if more than 5 employees.
On completion of the course the delegate will hold a L2 Health and Safety at Work certificate and a greater understanding of their responsibilities under the Act.
This Qualsafe level 2 qualification provides the necessary knowledge for staff to understand their responsibilities around health and safety, how to do a simple risk assessment and identify hazards and risks in a number of areas such as:
· Accident reporting and HSE
· Welfare requirements
· Manual handling
· Electricity
· Working at height
· Driving
· Drugs and alcohol
· Ergonomics
· Hazardous substances
The course consists of theory and a multiple-choice assessment at the end of the day.
