Overview

This accredited training course provides you with the understanding to create and manage a safe working environment. You will develop a broad knowledge of common workplace hazards and how to avoid them.

In 2019/2020 HSE statistics, 30% of work-related ill-health was attributed to musculoskeletal disorders and 51% suffered from stress, depression and anxiety.

It is a requirement that employers provide health and safety training to all their staff, as well as providing a safe environment for them to work in, risk assess all work activities, appropriate welfare facilities such as washrooms and updated policies and procedures if more than 5 employees.

On completion of the course the delegate will hold a L2 Health and Safety at Work certificate and a greater understanding of their responsibilities under the Act.

This Qualsafe level 2 qualification provides the necessary knowledge for staff to understand their responsibilities around health and safety, how to do a simple risk assessment and identify hazards and risks in a number of areas such as:

·         Accident reporting and HSE

·         Welfare requirements

·         Manual handling

·         Electricity

·         Working at height

·         Driving

·         Drugs and alcohol

·         Ergonomics

·         Hazardous substances

The course consists of theory and a multiple-choice assessment at the end of the day.
