Overview

This course is a refresher aimed at people working in the care industry. In order to administer medication, staff should be suitably trained, competent, regularly under review, follow policy and procedures. The safeguarding vulnerable people aspect of this course is designed for care staff, by completing this course you will be in a better position to implement your company's adult protection policy and the procedures they should follow.

• An understanding of the Law relating to medicines.
• A set of clear practice standards relating to support for service users taking medication.
• To develop an awareness of medication issues so that they can work safely with other health care professionals as part of a team or alone.
