Medication Awareness in Care

Overview

Delegates will leave this course with an understanding of the legislation related to the handling of medication, the various types of medication, routes of administration, how the medicine works and side effects/contraindications. Delegates will identify the correct procedures when dealing with medication errors by use of case studies; they will also familiarise themselves with MAR (Medical Administration Record) sheets and have the opportunity to fill these out.
