Overview

A personal budget is the amount of money your local council will pay towards any social care and support your need (or the need of the cared for individual). The amount of money in your personal budget is decided by your local council after a needs assessment to work out: what kind of care and support you need. how much it will cost.

How does it work? A PHB is based around the care and support plan, which identifies health and wellbeing goals. This plan will be developed by the individual receiving funding, in collaboration with the local NHS team, to set out how the budget will be spent to fulfil these goals.

Full Details

Personal budgets give you the choice to choose what support you wish to have. It is the total amount you receive for your care and support. You will be given an annual personal budget allocation following the assessment. You spend your direct payments budget to meet your agreed outcomes stated in your care planning.

All our PHB training is tailored to your own personal needs. We work in conjunction with you to develop a personal training plan for your carers. We can train them on safe medication handling, moving and assisting, basic first aid and much much more.
