This course explores why individuals use/misuse legal and illicit substances and how to identify the signs of substance abuse. It provides delegates with tools for early intervention and how to make referrals to agencies for further support. By the end of the course, delegates will be able to confidently identify a variety of illicit drugs, their effects on people and the associated risks.
