This course covers what equality and diversity is and how to translate it in a day to day practice within their role. Delegates look at their own values in relation to equality and diversity and what impacts them. By the end, delegates can adapt their practice, and have risk assessing and care planning experience to promote equality. Attendees learn through group work, debates, videos and case studies. There is also a focus on legislation which supports and promotes equality for individuals with an emphasis on human rights. Not only is this course relevant to the care sector but can be adapted for any other sector of employment.
